Thanks and congrats to Virginia cyclists who championed NMSI

Kurt Seifert and Rick Dignus wrapped up their 1,142-mile trek Friday afternoon, wheeling their bicycles into Green Bay, Wis., as part of a cross country biking marathon from Virginia to Wisconsin that benefitted their favorite charities – including the National Math and Science Initiative. Their goal was to attend the Green Bay Packers game that didn’t happen over the weekend because the Packers had lost to the Giants in the NFC playoffs. But Seifer and Dignus received nationwide coverage for their good-hearted buddy trip through the ice and cold of winter, which in turn drew attention to their fund-raising website pedalthepack.com and their favorite non-profit organizations. Congratulations to the determined duo for completing their journey – and thanks for drawing attention to math and science in such a fun way.
