BOSTON — Since 2008, a program in Massachusetts has more than doubled the number of high school students who receive college credit-eligible scores on Advanced Placement math, science and English exams, and has also been successful in attracting more minority students to AP courses.

A Florida State University program that is helping to address the state and nation’s critical shortage of math and science teachers has received an important boost from one of the nation’s top supporters of education.
Representatives from JP Morgan Chase Bank join students and staff from the FSU Teach program to announce a $50,000 gift. The funding will go towards FSU Teach’s induction program, which provides financial support for new teachers.
